The LYC has an active and dedicated racing presence on the Bay. Members regularly race in local series throughout the year and some are certified race officials. For 2009, we also have a delegate to the PHRF of the Chesapeake. (PHRF of the Chesapeake Link)

Each year in July, we sponsor the Veterans Cup. This is a Cruising Club of Virginia sanctioned event which typically draws over 40 boats each year. Click on logo for info



As the summer winds down, we also participate in the Tri-Service regatta along with Old Point Comfort Yacht Club (Army) and Norfolk Naval Sailing Association. This is a unique and long standing tradition and provides great camaraderie and fun.
